Routine Series: Week 2 - Daily Goals

"Small Daily Improvements Are The Key To Staggering Long-Term Results"

Welcome to the Straight Up Mindset Blog!!
What's up Straight Up Nation! Thank you for returning to the blog. Remember this month’s theme is the Routine Series. The first weeks blog was Morning Ritual, Having a morning ritual is essential to getting your mind and body prepped for the daily grind.

This weeks title is Daily Goals. Its great to have Big long term goals but you also need goals for the day to day. Something that helps you to make continuous progress. Its one of the effective ways to keep productivity high. If you don't have a path setup for the day you tend to go all over the place and end up with that feeling of, you've been busy all day but still feel like you haven't accomplished anything. Well most of the time that is true and its due to your mind bouncing from one thing to another. You can't decipher what has higher priority, you start one project and then bounce to another.

Start your day off with a list of items or goals that you are wanting to accomplish for the day. Whether it be Laundry, homework, a presentation.......etc. Whatever it is that you deem as important to you and want to get done, write it down then prioritize it so you can go in order of least important to most important. Think of it like a road trip, you know what your end destination is but if you don't map your route then you will prolong your journey, veer off the path and eventually get lost.

Same thing applies to your goals, whether that be long term or short. You have to lay out a path for you to follow so you can get to where you want/need to be and get their efficiently. Also when you complete these small goals this plays a big part on your mental state. It gives you a feeling of accomplishment and keeps your energy in a good place so you can carry it over to the next goal. Small victories compounded on each other eventually lead to Big victories. It builds confidence and constantly keeps you moving in the right direction
